Getting There

By Air

Morzine is one hour’s drive from Geneva Airport. Car hire is very easily arranged via the web with all the leading car hire firms. Alternatively there is an efficient bus service from the airport to the resort, and lots of taxis. See www.easyjet.co.uk or www.flybe.com for inexpensive flights to Geneva.

By Rail

Getting there by rail is more complicated but can be done by taking the train from Paris to Geneva, and then a local train to Cluses, and a 40 minute taxi ride.

By Car

Morzine is about 8 hours car drive from Calais or Ostend, on the autoroutes. You can get directions for the route to Geneva from www.rac.co.uk. Please click here for full directions from Geneva to the apartment.


 

Driving in snowy conditions

In France snow chains are NOT a legal requirement. However, your car must have the 'Equipement Obligatoire' when passing a round blue road sign with a wheel equipped with a chain, electronic road signs or Gendarmes signalling this.

This means the vehicle must be equipped with either snow tyres (studded or non-studded) on ALL wheels OR chains on at least the driving wheels.
